>>219235I also want to note for those who haven't trekked in Northern Canada (almost any of its parts, save for a good chunk of Northern Alberta), it is often very remote. In many places there are no roads, not even logging roads, no railrods. Just taiga, rivers, bogs and rock. It's amazing and I hope we manage to keep such large tracts of land where you can fuck off for two months and be attacked by bears if you so choose.
It's a shame the man lost his dog. Poor guy. It'd be hard to keep a dog alive out there... I suspect the bear ate his dog's food too.
