I used to use a product called "shoe-goo" on my skate shoes after wearing holes in the canvas from skating, but it honestly looks vile, doesn't work well and wouldnt last long anyway.

You wont be able to stitch them up properly without lots of trial and error and leather specific sewing tools anyway

Seriously friend, go to any shoe repair place.
My boot guy has fixed worse than that before, and charged me $10 including a nice polish/waterproofing.
