why do you use a saw? they break too easy. A sturdy hatchet is faster and is more versatile. I have boiled coffee/things in aluminum cans...almost anything can do in a pinch. I like a 9-10" pot for cooking...just think of weight/durability/and the amount of use vs. cash...Also get a good fixed blade knife. learn to identify a good knife. they can be the only utensil you need but also if your just romping in the woods and not killing fish/ gutting stuff/ carving items there is no need to go crazy.
