I just drew up this theory. Is this a good setup for the ground [pic], excluding a separate theory for the ceiling [good quality expansive tarp + raised supports]? You have to account for the largely constant wind and rain this time of year, wet muddy floor, tarp at risk of crashing down by wind. I haven't considered a tent because of expense, and lack-of-quality. I'm not used to hammocks, and can't afford to put any money into it in case it is inappropriate.
