>>1862376There is a novel to be written about the varying qualities of sex and fishing for men. I’ve had great sex and I’ve had bad sex, I’ve caught sea monsters and I’ve been skunked painfully. On the whole I think I’ve suffered less and derived more pleasure from fishing than I have from sex.
Maybe it’s because I’m now a boring old married fudd but I’d much rather get up early, enjoy somewhere beautiful, do something challenging and, if successful, demonstrate mastery of a somewhat rare skill, as opposed to going to some bar and getting drunk enough to want to have casual sex with some slut. I mean even the married wholesome sort of sex isn’t the sort of thing I spend the hours thinking about like I do fishing. I’m not investing the time or money in learning new techniques of getting new equipment for fucking my wife.
