Light, dry fast, and you can replace wet internal layers but you need two socks and preferably an insole already to make them warm, plus you want some room in toebox for circulation and insulation.
Alfa better than protex. Put conditioner on inside of boot as they have a plastic finish.
They're good if you want a 3 pound boot that is reasonably warm. There is a point of coldness that Mackey mouse boots or neoprene rubber boots are better but weigh 5+ lbs.
