>>1206720Yeah, right now I power my electrets with +48 phantom, with an r/c network inside the plug to bring the voltage to 5V. It works fine but phantom eats through batteries fast and XLR is too bulky sometimes.
Thanks for the details... BTW as a fellow DR-40 user, what did you think of it before upgrading? I love the interface and functionality but I feel the preamps are really, really noisy for the gain they offer, though I don't have anything to compare it to. It might fine, just my inexperience. What do you think?
