I live in Port Angeles. You have come to the right place. I recommend Striped Peak near Salt Creek. Short Hike, about 4-5 miles, but amazing views from mountains and a sweet little cove to eat lunch at. Also, Lake Angeles is a fun hike. It is pretty intense, but the view is worth it. Hurricane Ridge is a cool place to go, but there is always a ton of people up there during the summer. Also, my absolute favorite place to hike is the Buckhorn Wilderness area near Sequim is amazing, but it is pretty hard to find. You can ask a ranger or a the internet about that.
