Bought pic related two years back from Cabelas after-Christmas sale for a steal.

The GoreTex shell parka was regularly $200 on sale for $70 and the Prima Loft Silver zip-in liner was $200 on sale for $40.

Excellent winter coat for ice fishing and snow blowing without the bulkiness of down or the issues with getting wet.

Last year I managed to snag a Cabela’s Grand Teton GoreTex shell parka for $70 on sale (regularly $200) and the zip-in Primaloft insulated liner for $40 (regularly $100) for snowblowing and ice fishing but it was so warm last winter that I only wore it once.

So far this winter it's been pretty cold and snowy and so I’ve been wearing it regularly and love it.

I’ve bought all kinda stuff from Cabela’s over the years and other then their sweatshirts recently, everything I’ve ever gotten from them has been top quality. They’re my favorite store and wish the two of them here in Michigan (regular huge store and an outlet store) were closer to my home.

This past Oct. I got their Grand Teton Primaloft / GoreTex parka for $70 (regularly $200) and the Primaloft button-in liner for $40 (regularly $100). Also got their GoreTex / Thinsulate Snow Runner boots on sale for $60 (reg. $150).

Agreed, though I'd add that the hardshell ought to be a waterproof breathable Gore-Tex type fabric (with a detachable hood, if possible).
