>>601379My bike's plated, it doesn't see a lot of truck time. I get nastygrams from the HOA because my truck doesn't move for so long they think it's inoperable.
>>601382No worries. I'd bet at least 3/4 of the people on this board don't have much grasp of land management and the effects it has on users. Being primarily motorized, "wilderness" is a pretty ugly word to me. One of the guys I ride with on occasion is a land-use lawyer.
Automotive electrical's easy; all 12v and frame-grounded. Trailers are built as cheap as possible, ripping out the shit that's in there (and all the scotch-locks, >pic related) then running your own wiring will make things a lot more durable and less of a hassle. Hitch up, plug in, quick walk-around lamp and tire check, then go play.
>>601384Electrical engineer.
I've got a handful of sponsors that help me out with the riding/racing/avalanche instruction thing (parts and gear mostly), and the nonprofit I teach through has a good list of sponsors. Got a good deal on the gooseneck, and most of the parts/pieces that are going into it we got at greatly discounted prices or donated entirely.
Being the electrical engineer on the team, the wiring is my project.
