The leaves on the unknown plant in my yard are somewhat serrated/pointy like a raspberry or blackberry but it doesn't have enough serrations (raspberries have much more sharp/pointy edges on the leaves) nor does it have a spiny stem or canes (both blackberries and raspberries have this) so I have no idea what it is or how it got there. The new leaves forming do look light green/brown just like new forming leaves on raspberries and blackberries so I'm confused at what it could be. I don't know if I should kill it or dig it out now and save it before the roots get deeper and it would be settled into its position. I want to start a raspberry patch and this would be a welcome addition if infact it is a raspberry that mysteriously came from somewhere. I'm starting seed now for 4 raspberries and have space for a 5th... Also, if it IS a raspberry, its a good sign that the soil bed for muh raspberry patch doesn't need to be worked too much if there is another one already growing.....
