For the money the ESEE-6 is superior in every way. Personally, I don't like the balance on the ESEE-6, it's too butt-heavy and the only reason I don't own one. Some people don't mind. Pic related.

Bladeforums.comPersonally when I go innawoods I take two knives: one thin, small (under 6" blade) and one large (12" or larger blade). The large blade is for rough/heavy work, and the small blade is for precision woodworking and slicing. Two specialized blades = better than one sharpened prybar that doesn't do anything well.
