>>1825245That trip had pretty mild weather, so I was just in a sleeping bag with a tarp as a windbreak. I did find an REI Minimalist bivy for $50 a couple weeks ago, so I'm going to take that out on a quick overnight trip on foot this week and see if I get claustrophobic.
>>1824786The WR250R and DR-Z are both plenty plenty reliable, oil changes every 5k+ and valve checks 15k+. The limiting factor is going to be rider fatigue, but for reference, I did 900 miles (maybe 20% dirt) in a weekend on my DR-Z with knobbies fairly comfortably by keeping a relaxed pace. Vibration is just annoying, but wind is exhausting if you're trying to maintain high speed for extended periods.
