>>1880978Br anon here, I've read some more. Mostly old thing from the 50s-70s. Apparently it varies from tibe to tribe and culture to culture. It seems that tribes who underwent either periods without fishes or game started eating looking for fungi. But all of the works I've looked at say the same thing
>it's very clear that regarding brazilian and amazonic tribes nothing is clear. We need to research more to acertain which cultures are micophobic or micophilic. And since there are several hundred languages involved even deciding which fungus is which seems very troubling.
What really bongles my jambos is that the continued destruction of the cerrado and the amazon are eliminating possible wondrous discoveries. There are so many fucking compounds to be found which are useful to man and nature alike. I've made use of a couple myself
>coral plant (Erithryna mulungu) for sleeping and anxiety, shit is stronger than diazepam>cordia verbenacea as an anti inflamatory and spice for meat>copaiba oil for sealing and cleaning woundsOne can only imagine how many new anti biotics are there in the fungi.
