It’s my 3rd year of keeping compost worms.
I catch my compost worms from almost finished compost heaps and by putting old newspapers on a shaded grassy area in my country home.
Newspapers retain moisture and make the grass under it compost and worms will often stay on the bottom of the damp newspapers, for me to just collect.
This June, i collected more than 100 worms by doing that......sadly....most of them perished, because we had a hot period of 35’C weather here and indoors it was the same (no AC jokes pls).
Right now i have approximately 30 worms in the bin and can’t wait to collect some more.
