These places are south of the country but they are in altitude so they look like something that could be found in England. I've been /out/ in these open spaces and loved it so I'm 100% willing to do it again on the Dartmoor
Otherwise yeah even though England itself and Wales seem to have good things Scotland is my main interest, it looks like one of the wildest place left in Europe and even before I was into nature and the outdoors I always found it attractive.
