The human perception of objects, forms, and the world basically, is limited by five senses and a very poor mechanism of brain to observe the objective reality, which all means the real nature and forms of objects can be completely different to what they seem to us. For instance, we know that objects and particles are solid, they have mass, density, etc, whereas in reality nothing is solid, even atoms consist of so called strings, vibrating energy rings, waves basically, without any materia in them. And that is only one minor scientific fact we know because of the primitve dualizm-based physical laws we came up with just few decades ago, you can imagine what the real nature of the world is hiding from us, flat earth is the least shoking theory of all.
