You would think a knife that costs >100 dollars would be significantly stronger than a knock off? No, in many cases it's the opposite. Manufacturers priority is to make their knives appear good in reviews and we know how knives are reviewed on youtube, unboxing and cutting paper. They make knives hard, brittle and and sharp without putting any effort into toughness or strenght.
They deal with the customer feedback saying batoning is abuse and must not be done.
If batoning puts your knife at risk, you're only risking a knife that is worth shit. If your knife can't take the batoning, take photos and share them with other knife users.
