Serrated, which I don't like, but I've gotten used to choking up for fine work and the blade's wide enough to do so comfortably. The clip's on the wrong end, but I'll eventually get used to it.
The part that's relevant to you is that the blade takes a goood edge and holds it well for stainless. It won't keep up with lower chromium content steel but it's better than any 440.
