As cute as they are, it's simply too late. I think even with the frost blanket I just ordered, there just isn't enough time for them. I mean, there might be, but it's highly doubtful. I'll just let the bees do as they do (surprisingly they're still around), and if they pollinate, they pollinate. I'll try and keep them alive as long as possible, but I'm not putting stock into these two.
Anyways, that does it for this week. BTW, I've been meaning to ask, but does anybody else find themselves feeling certain feelings of fondness for their plants? Like a feeling of bonding? I feel as I touch them and watch them grow, I get more and more attached to them as if they were my own friends, or little pets or something. Just thought I'd note that.
