here's a better pic of the thing i'm missing.. (not my pic but a zipper's a zipper) called a "zipper pin" and apparently nobody ever repairs them. haven't found a single case online, and in the forums everyone says not even a tailor will attempt it. they just replace the whole zipper ugh
