Once while we were on a job site way out in the middle of nowhere, an area where people apparently dump their old dogs or was just an area full of lost hunting dogs, stumbled on a pack of wild hog feasting on one of those dogs they killed. They took pretty much everything but the head and some leftover bones. It was grim and very sobering. I found my bud that same day and just couldn't leave him there to suffer the same fate since he was smaller than the other dogs out there.
