superbugs have genetic mutations that allow them to bypass the biochemical pathway that antibiotics work on. they arise through misuse of antibiotics (which is extremely heavy).
Theres no conclusive evidence that garlic works as an anti-biotic. If someone found out that it worked efficiently on the major superbugs and drew out the pathways there would no doubt be a nobel prize in it. and if there was any hope of that happening and scoring a nobel prize for something so easy - trust me - i'd have been done.
