I've been hauling mulch, straw, compost, manure, etc to get 8 of these raised beds filled. It's been slow work but two more of them are filled. The straw on one will really compress down as it decays into compost. So, even though it looks overfilled now, it'll be underfilled later.
I've been stapling up empty plastic feed bags in my chicken coop to help keep the cold wind out. I hope to have that done by the end of the day. It was already getting much warmer in there, just from one row being done near the top. Each adult chicken pumps out around 10 watts of heat. I have 36 chickens (360 watts of heat), but not all are adults and not all are full size. Some are bantam. So, they probably output around 330 watts of heat. That's only like 1,126btus/hr. I need to keep coop temps up over 45F or egg production will stop. I may install a heater.
