The only time I’ve ever been sketched out was on the Crawford path between Mt Monroe and Washington in winter. It’s a side slope and it doesn’t look steep in pic related but when it’s iced over you’re just praying you get a good bite with your crampons. It’s a long slide down.
My suggestion for your vertigo would be to try not to look down, keep your eyes looking forward and it won’t be so bad
