what you're looking for is Panaeolus Cinctulus, the most common psyolocybin containing mushroom on the continent. Perfect place to find them would be a well-groomed but low traffic park, that ideally has high horse, cow, or dog traffic. you want to be looking in the grass where tall, untamed grass meets the mowed grass, such as rows of planted trees in these re-forestation parks all over the east coast. they compete directly with clover, so if you see clover flowers you're very unlikely to find mushrooms.
note that they don't have psilocin, and you'll need at least double what is on this baking sheet. they will not be in good shape, slugs will likely have eaten most of them, and they are incredibly fragilem and basically rotten by the time they're mature, but if you're looking where i told you to look, theres zero chance that you'll be picking the wrong mushrooms so you can at least confidently stuff your pockets with them if you get lucky.
honestly just buy spores and do your part putting them back into the environment, hell, see if you can get some of these crazy south american or african species to propagate naturally on the east coast.
Cliche as fuck thing to say but they want to be found by people who respect them, and not by people who will abuse them
