They get sharp as fuck, especially the carbon steel ones. The main sizes (6, 7, 8) come in different woods, colors or engravings. They're easy to customize and in case you mess up you haven't wasted much money.
They're a bit unpractical to clean because of the wood, especially if you use them for eating or preparing food. I also have a couple of the smaller ones whitout the locking mechanism and I feel like they're not very useful, I also can't get them as sharp as the bigger ones for some reason.
Btw in Italy we have pic related which is very similar, comes in various sizes and woods. They cost a little more and have a different locking mechanism.
