>>845267Honestly I don't know, in some places prone to rain/fog etc there are "official" cairns to mark the trail, but the ones I build are just for my entertainment as it takes some skill to balance the rocks properly. When with a friend I sometimes compete to see who can build the highest and how long it will last, but as I said previously I kick them down before leaving. I don't mind stumbling upon some cairns while /out/ but apparently some people hate it so I might as well take them down

The main mountains in France are the Alps and the Pyrenees but there's another range in between called the Massif Central (literaly "central range") that is far less touristic and full of comfy places
