>>1338923Another vote for the Mossberg. Barrels are easily interchangeable and the loose tolerances allow for improved reliability in the face of dirt or dust or mud. Some people raise up a stink because the 500/590 have a polymer framed trigger assembly that, under certain conditions, can break and cause the gun to be unusable. In that case, you could always bilk out an extra $100 for the trigger assembly from a Mossberg 590A1 (the milspec version of the 500/590), which uses a metal housing instead of polymer.
But for most applications the stock trigger assembly is durable enough for whatever you might have in store.
