I've never needed to get warmer outdoors clothes because I lived all my life in an area where it's pretty warm year-round. What the hell do I wear when hiking when it gets cold that isn't comfy jeans? Apparently that's the wrong thing to do (I get that if it's wet out) but all the "outdoors pants" I've seen look thin as fuck and like they'd tear if I glanced at them wrong, never mind if I brush against a tree or boulder.
