This button is one of my best finds. It's the only known version of it (and unlike the other guy in this thread make false claims, I have proof)
"Hello ****, yes, finding a Cohannet Rifles button would be a "life event" .....I do not recall ever seeing one found! NOW, there is a button that looks almost identical to this button which is listed as MS26 in Albert's, Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons. It is from the same era, and the only readily discernable difference is that it says, "Massachusetts" in the ribbon below the shield device, rather than "Cohannet Rifles". This latter button, while a neat find, is no where near as rare!
