I grow them quite a lot. They're bulbous perennials, easy to maintain and propagate, and rather cheap in comparison to flowers of similar beauty. Put them in some well drained soil with a bit of compost and you'll be enjoying them for years. A have a few patches of them, most should be blooming by now; I'll take some pictures during the weekend when I'm back home and if the thread is still alive. Last photo is from the 20th of april.
