I've also recently been thinking about the benefits of bringing back "invasive species" to America. elephants, rhinos, and camels are all examples of former invasive species that were driven to Extinction in America permanently altering the American ecosystems. Now we obviously can't bring back every Ice Age creature that the Native Americans Slaughter (the amount is unbelievable) that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try and bring some back at least a surrogate species instead of cloning woolly rhinoceroses introduce the Asian rhino.
