The interesting part is getting on and off the bike in the snow. With the track kit installed, the seat's an inch or three taller than with wheels. Factor in your boot penetration into the snowpack, and you can't "just put a foot down" like on pavement/dirt, because you'll just sink in.
They're really easy to pick up and get unstuck, far easier than snowmobiles.
