>>1847379I feel you man. I may be slightly more autistic than you. I 100% prefer to hike and backpack alone. I try to go places that I know I won’t run into people. If I hike somewhere that I know is going to have a lot of other hikers, I will pop in my headphones and completely ignore anyone that I encounter on the trail. Even qt3.14 /out/ girls. I went on this trek with my older brother because it seemed like he was challenging me rather than inviting me along. My brother has always pushed me to my limits. He does it in such a subtle and humble way. He has a covert way of talking trash and motivating me to be better than I think I can be. Also he is 6 years my senior and we have never been that close until a couple years ago when him and his family moved to SLC from Idaho. We have been spending a lot more time together and I thought the Highline Trail was a great opportunity to spend quality time with older bro. He is the epitome of what an older brother should be. Him and my dad are literally the only two people I have ever enjoyed going outdoors with.
