Im looking to get PADI certified before the end of the year since scuba diving seems badass, and I have been entertaining the thought about possible underwater careers (I know you need to go to actual schools for that). I wanted to ask any international anons or travellers if diving is something worth basing trips around, like going to Australia pretty much just to dive for exanple. Im pretty well travelled (compared to the average American) and 2k for a class and my own equipment is nothing too crazy. Im hoping some anons can tell me if travelling to dive is worth it as well as how to travel with your gear (buy tanks at location, wetsuit in carryon, etc)
