I'd carved myself a nice pipe out of mesquite that looked like a clay pipe and while visiting a friend that lives downtown I had a smoke on his back patio at his apartment, went back outside later to smoke another bowl and somebody swiped my sweet pipe. Told my friend about it and he said that the basketball americans would steal anything that wasn't nailed down. So I made a shitty cob pipe with a mallow stem until I can find another suitable piece of mesquite to carve another pipe. Think I might have to drop a screen in the bottom to keep it from burning through. The top of the bowl got a bit crumbly on me, I used a knife to drill it out, next time I try to make a bowl for a cob I'll use a drill bit instead.
