There were some folding saws with aluminium handles which were able to fit normal saw blades from the hardware store, but they quickly disappeard because they were a one time seller.
Too practical for an industry which depends on marketing the same stuff in a different package for more money.
Having the ability to choose between all available saw blade types, from wood to metal and that at a hilariously low price is awesome.
30 bucks for a new blade you can't even resharpen? come on.
Pic is German dude who made these saws by himself for 25€, doesn't respond to orders anymore though.
