Being a contractor meant they were paying me a good bit of money to be there (more than joe-schmoe employee), so things usually went smoothly and most people realized it wasn't worth the shit they'd get later from their supervisor if they dicked me around. I needed codes or keys, I got codes or keys.
I enjoyed working with fire/EMT. The few occasions I had to deal with the police district dispatch... fuck 'em. It's like they don't know they're pissing off the guy who could cripple their entire communication system.
