>>2153166I work a swing shift job so I get home around midnight. A week or so ago I came home and a bunch of them were literally hanging around on my front porch. I got some sticky traps and set a couple out and caught a shitload of them over several nights. The one in the pic was just sitting there on the side of the house down on the foundation next to the front porch and didn't even really try to move when I scooped it into a ziplock bag.
For the last few nights I've put this 'Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait' out either on the porch or next to the porch. No idea if it's being taken by them and doing anything or not, but when I came home from work just now there weren't any on or around the porch.
I put a sticky trap inside, too, first under the sink in the kitchen for a few days, then out under the counter in the kitchen. Hasn't caught anything.
I should get more sticky traps and put some on and around the porch again and see if it catches more of them.
If it catches more I think I'm going to have to call the landlord and hope he doesn't decide this is my fault and kick me out. :-(
I've lived here for years and never had problems with things like this. I'm suspecting it's my neighbors since the husband has some self-employed moving business and has parked a rented box truck here a few times. No telling what might have been hitching a ride on random people's stuff being moved is what I'm thinking.
Haven't seen any on *their* porch though (it's a duplex btw).
