>>2616448I hope you like pine and spruce plantations cause that's what you'll get, areas like your pictures are few and far between. I would recommend just ditching the mainland and going to Öland and just walking through Alvaret from north to south, not really the sort of landscape one might associate with Sweden but really beautiful and unique and mostly free of other hikers, also lots of old grave mounds and cult sites if you're into that.
Or if pine trees are your thing go to Tyresta national park outside Stockholm, lots of people there though but the largest primeval forest outside of the mountains in the north.
