Treat it all with permethrin, use picardin lotion for any exposed skin and entryways. You can also apply permethrin to your tent, shoes, pack, whatever. I also sleep in a tent made of very fine mesh. The only time I ever get bit is when I wait too long to reapply the lotion and skeeters get my hands. Otherwise, I feel like I'm surrounded by an invisible anti-bug bubble.
