I know there's a post, or was, going on talking shit about Grylls, Hawke, Stroud, Canterbury, Lundin, etc.. Although there was a mutual respect and admiration for Mears (and there should be).
But, from what I can tell Lundin and Stroud are the only two I respect really.
If Ray Mears is on a whole 'nother level than the lot of them, then I still think Lundin is a leap above Stroud.
Grylls is a knob and structures his show around action and drama, Canturbury is a old lying bitch and is (and his school is) reliant largely upon gear.
I don't know fuck about Joe Teti, but he seems like a young Canterbury.
We can all agree that Hawke is a fucking dipshit. (right?)
I know Lundin's non-shoe-wearer is a little fucky, but he isn't reliant upon any fuckin thing.
