>>474851Basically. For each box of cookies a girl sells, we get about 2% of the profit to spend on trips, the rest disappearing. You get even less if the dumbass girls sign up for "incentives" which is cheap ass stuffed animals or an ipod touch for 2,000 boxes of cookies.
>>474866>>474932Basically. With my time in the troop, I've "earned" a Marine Biology badge by going to an aquarium, an art badge for carving a boat out of styrofoam, a interior decoration badge for doing god knows what, and a cooking badge for bringing food to a potluck. None of the patches I've gotten through volunteering or my time in the troop are "adventurous" at all, it's sad.
>Annual Girl Scout Camporree coming up>Spend the night on Friday and Saturday, nothing special as it's aimed for the lower 3 levels of Girl Scouts, the which means we have to be extra careful.>We (the older girls running it) plan on doing Juliettes of the Forest with our Leaders in Training, the girls a tier down from us>Involves being able to run around past lights out (which is at 9pm) and being able to do this weird cult ceremony>Anyway, LIT don't do jack shit the entire weekend, they're just trying to text and braid hair>Julliettes of the forest comes up at night, older girls get their whole intricate ceremony lined up which includes reciting weird scriptures and candle-lit paths>The parents of the LIT say that they're "too tired" from a day of doing jack shit, these girls don't even want to stay up late for ice creamPlus,
>The entire weekend parents are expected to cook the food in a full service kitchen
