>>461914Might be because I'm a Swede, but I've always preferred the scandinavian wilderness to anything else in Europe. Mostly because it's so varied with different types of forests depending on where in scandinavia you are.
For example pic related is the view from a trail in the northern parts of sweden, but further south you have more forested regions, and the further south you go, the forests become more and more deciduous.
Of course, there are beautiful places in the rest of Europe as well, like the Mercantour national park in the south of france, but no place I've been in outside of scandinavia have had that same feeling of remoteness the swedish/norwegian/finnish wilderness offers.
