My favourite lightweight, low space meal:
>Powdered mash potato>Powdered cheese (the orange stuff you see on cheetos, you can buy it on amazon)>Dried bacon, crushed up>Mix those up and stash in a baggie (make like at least double the recommended portion size because you're a hungry hiker)>Slap in cook tin over campfire/trangia/whatever with some boiling water, enough to make it into tasty mash (not soup)>enjoy your cheesy bacon mashed tatersIt is god-tier camp food, I like to bring it for a couple night's meals when I go for a week or more.
