>>2640547Unfortunately. A little bit goes a long way though. Under current capitalism nigh everything is a consumable, things aren't made to be passed down to your grand kids anymore. Your fly line will ear out, your rod will break, your reel has an opportunity at near permanence but really only high end click and pawl reels are bomb proof enough to still be serviceable in 100 years.
Unrelated the orvis battenkill III is not a 5-7 weight reel at all, it's a 4-6 at most. I need to find another battenkill IV again its a 7-9 weight reel I'd say. I'd borrow the one on my 6 weight switch but I cant find a spare spool OR another reel, only the disc drag version.
