>>1568115>>1568129Most people are too self-obsessed in their little atomizing personal vehicles closed off from the world trying to get as fast as possible from A to B to commute to some gruesome form of wage slavery so their overseer doesn't chew them out, or to complete a menial task that doesn't warrant their stress inducing haste. The ability today to travel at such great speeds has ruined humanity in many ways. Thankfully you still get some kind hearted people who wouldn't begrudge someone a short stop to take them at least partially in the direction they were already travelling.
