>>304227you know what here's one more good one for tarps. me I'm shitty at knots which is a god damned travesty because I fish. But here's a great way to put up a trap as rain cover and actually have it taut. find the 4 trees or whatever and get up and tie one end of the 4 ropes to the trees leading in to the tarp. Now the next part you need bungee cords. get a bungee and hook to tarp while making a loop in the first rope. Just make the first loop roughly where it needs to be. Go to opposite rope and do the same thing only pull it taught. figure out where the next loop roughly needs to be to keep things tight but give yourself a little extra so you can get it hooked in. The proceed to do the other 2 ropes the same way. should be both durable and quick to take down later and not saggy at all.
bonus tip for emergency tows out of snow and mud a heavy duty cargo belt is one of the greatest tools in existence. The best way I've seen to tear into the frame is with a chain. The cargo belt will sort of act like a rubber band and you can also adjust the starting length as needed
