>>345350for types of lures used you can use any number of things from hard lures to soft rubber baits im a fan of soft rubber baits but that is based off of where i bass fish
its often weedy and hard lures tend to get tangled in the weeds easily unless they are surface lures
to get started you may want to find some fishing spots and then pick lures based off of that
as a general rule of thumb i always have
1.one hard articulated rapala its usially an old one i pulled out of some tree while fishing
2 a jitterbug for surface fishing especially if fishing around sunset
3. some sort of small popper for also surface fishing around sunset
and for soft lures i always have an assortment of rubbers and hooks and weights.
i almost always bring worms also for just catching whatever
bass will eat worms and the little ones will tear apart anything ( the same day i caught that big one i caught maybe 50 bass anywhere from 4-10 inches long on little bits of worms
i dont know if it is just me but almost every single one of my big big bass ( i catch 1-5 9 plus pounds each year) have been caught on other smaller bass i guess they are cannibalistic or something but that works for me
a leader is usially just a different type of line for 12-24 inches inbetween your normal line and your lure. i never bother with it unless saltwater fishing
snap swivels can be great for quick attaching lures and hooks etc to a line without cutting it plus it also adds a swivel so if you are using spinners your line doesnt get twisted
as i said earlier il be glad to answer any other questions you care to ask but i am by no means an expert
also sorry for any spelling mistakes or anything that doesnt make sense
